1 kg beet

250 g onions

180 g salt

3 Bay leaves

1 tsp. black pepper

To take a fresh beets, wash them, boil for 1.5-2 hours, then cool and peel and finely chop.

Onions clean, rinse, Pat dry, cut into rings.

Arrange the beets on sterilized banks, shifting onions and spices.

Pour hot brine, then sterilize in boiling water for 50 min (banks 1l) or 40 min (banks 0,5 l).

Be used beets, pickled onions, maybe for preparing side dishes and salads.
