Today's version of the cookie appeared either in England, or in Germany. Its name is also controversial. Some say, that it is derived from the German word that means "snail noodles", while others claim that there is no specific origin, and the name invented by bakers.
Ingredients:
For 40-50 pieces you need
- 170 g butter
- 170 g sugar
- 1 Pieces egg
- 270 g flour
- 7-8 drops vanilla essence
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tablespoons sugar (for sprinkling)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Cooking it will take about an hour.
Method of preparation:
Immediately turn the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Veiled baking paper or a silicone mat. We heat the butter in a water bath.
Next mix it with sugar. Enter the egg and vanilla essence. Sift flour with baking powder and enter in the oil-egg mixture. Knead the dough.
Dough is rolled out to the reservoir and using molds, squeezing cookies.
The resulting product spread on a baking sheet. Each cookie sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
