The belief that a healthy lifestyle helps preserve youth has long been known. And American researchers have found that regular exercise and proper nutrition, as it turned out, not only allows you to maintain a youthful appearance, but actually restore your body to some extent.

Within 5 years the scientists of the research center for preventive medicine California conducted surveillance of the health status of men and women older than 60 years. They every day for 1 hour practiced yoga and meditation for 30 min - different exercises and refused meat and attended sessions of group therapy. In the result, it was found that the organisms of the subjects was updated at the cellular level: their telomeres (they protect the ends of chromosomes during cell division) were 10% longer.

Among other subjects, which during the same 5 years led a normal life, telomeres become, on average, 3% shorter than the original data, which were obtained at the beginning of the study.

Thus, it has been scientifically proven healthy lifestyle really rejuvenates the body.
