Sicilian orange salad with basil
What you need:
orange
150 g dates
200 ml grape juice
0.5 lemon juice
1 Art. l. dried basil
Dates wash, put in a strainer to steam over boiling water for 7 minutes. Cut them in half lengthwise, remove the seeds. The flesh is cut into semicircles.
Orange peel, cut into very thin circles. Remove the seeds.
Refills grape and lemon juice in a saucepan pour, boil down to one-third of the original volume. Add the basil, stir and allow to cool.
Oranges and figs put in a salad bowl, pour the dressing.
