Cabbage rolls in Lithuanian
0.5 kg cabbage leaves
300 g lean minced
200 fat
1 onion
3-4 carrots
1 glass rice
half a cup of sour cream
3 Art. l. tomato puree
5 Art. l. vegetable oil
2 Art. l. vinegar
black pepper, dill, salt
Figure fry with two tablespoons of oil, pour 2 cups of salted water or broth and cook until the rice swells and the liquid has evaporated. Separately, in the remaining oil to fry well minced meat with chopped onion, mix with rice, sprinkle with black pepper, chopped dill and salt.
Cabbage leaves pour boiling salted water with vinegar and leave for 10-15 minutes. On each leaf put stuffing, wrapped leaves. At the bottom of a deep pan put slices of bacon on them - carrots, cut into thin slices, top - cabbage rolls, sprinkle with pepper, pour a mixture of tomato paste and sour cream, salted to taste, cover and simmer in the oven at moderate temperature, periodically pouring 1 -2 tablespoons of hot water. Served on a platter with steamed carrots.
