Beef steak with Madeira and mushrooms
700 g beef
100 g fresh mushrooms
1 shallot
1/2 Cup wine Madera
3/4 Cup water
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. corn/maize starch
black pepper, salt
Steaks rubbed with pepper and salt.
In a large heavy pan, pour 1 tbsp. of oil, heat, put the meat on medium heat saute for 5-9 minutes, during this time, turning once.
Put the steaks on a plate, cover with foil.
Pour into the same pan with the remaining oil, put the finely chopped shallots and fry for 3-4 minutes, pour the wine, add ? tsp. salt, black pepper, stir fry everything for another 2 minutes, then add the starch, add chopped mushrooms, actively stirring, to extinguish all until the sauce thickens about a minute.
Serves steaks of beef with Madeira and mushrooms: with meat removed the foil and it is poured over the cooked sauce.
