Jam pumpkin (II)
Ingredients:
1 kg pumpkin
1.5 kg sugar
1 tbsp. soda
3/4 glass water
This jam is not so popular as jam from berries and fruits, but with skillful cooking it for its taste will satisfy tastes of the most demanding gourmets. Clean the pumpkin from the skin and seeds. Into a bowl or pan to pour cold water, put the soda and put the pumpkin, cut into large chunks. Leave for the day. Then drain the water, pumpkin, rinse in cold water and drain in a sieve. When the water flow down, cut the pumpkin in small squares. Cook traditional syrup, put it in the pumpkin, but not to interfere. When the jam starts to boil, remove it from the fire for several hours, until the pumpkin did not have time to seethe and could not jam. Then cook until tender.
