Lemon shortbread
If you conduct a survey among a sweet tooth, it is almost certain shortbread will be in the display! Such cookies favorite at my daughter and husband. Of course, to pamper their tasty, I try it at least occasionally oven. So as not to cook the same thing, I am constantly experimenting. Today brought us a box insanely crisp, fragrant lemon shortbread!
Ingredients:
- 230 g softened butter
- 100 g sugar
- zest of 1 lemon
- 280 g wheat flour
- 80 g semolina
Approximate cooking time: 2 hours.
Method of preparation:
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar in a lush cream.
Sift flour, add the semolina.
Remove the zest from one lemon.
And now, just mix all the ingredients previously prepared. Knead a soft dough, form a few sausages, wrap with cling film, put in the refrigerator is not less than 1 hour or in the freezer for 30 minutes.
After time, the oven heats up to 160 degrees, cut the cooled sausage 1 cm thick. Spread on a baking sheet, the laid baking paper.
Bake for about 20 minutes, but still, I recommend to look into the oven and continuously monitor the process. Bake until golden brown. Leave on a baking sheet for 5 minutes to cool. At first batch will be very fragile, but when cookies have cooled, will be crisp and incredibly tasty!
